Told through prose, poetry and song, it’s the story of an ancient woodland, which one Spring, discovers a mysterious and enchanting new leaf.
At first the woods are dazzled by its beauty, but over time the new leaves present problems for the plants and animals that live peacefully together.
It takes a renegade woodpecker to uncover the dark secret, and when the forest discovers that the new leaves are plastic waste, the animals reach out to the next generation of humans to rekindle a forgotten relationship.

Meet at the main entrance gate to Skipton Castle Woods, off Chapel Hill. Access is via the canal tow path off Mill Bridge.
