Join the Woodland Trust for the return of the popular Bats and Beasts at Dusk Walk lead by bat expert Russ Hedley from Nature Walks and Talks. Learn about bats as a woodland indicator species and their ecology and conservation. Use the bat detectors to identify the bats at Skipton Castle Woods by species.
Bring along your binoculars if you have any (limited number for loan on the night ) and of course a (head) torch along with suitable footwear for this 1.5 mile guided walk which includes a number of steps.
Meet at the woodland’s main gate at Old Saw Mill located off Chapel Hill, Skipton for a 7.45pm start. Access the main entrance on foot from Mill Bridge at the top of Skipton High Street, via the canal tow path.
The walk is aimed at adults and children over 10 years of age. Please leave your dog at home for the evening.
