Imagine a lantern lit woodland at night complete with illuminated trees, large glowing owls and magical people!
Join us for one night only as Skipton Castle Woods glows at night on our magical willow lantern walk with campfire and entertainment from the folk at Rusticus Theatre.
Can you find John the woodsman, a woodland nymph and the dancing tree? Listen out for the voice of Eller Beck, The Old Hornbeam Tree and the Mill Worker.
Start your adventure in the grounds of Skipton Castle and meet a special woodland visitor. Bring a torch, battery willow lantern or camping lantern to light your way. (No naked flames please!)
Sessions at 6.15pm, 6.40pm, 7.pm, 7.30pm & 8pm.
Early sessions are great for little ones while there is still some natural light. Adults and older families may find the later sessions more suited to atmospheric walking.
Leaving the castle directed by event stewards, follow the festoon lit tow path along the river valley and into the woodland. Retrace your steps to exit.
